Shoosh has a masters degree in Diagnostic Education and has been teaching yoga since 1974. She specializes in working with students with special needs.

In 1994, while teaching for the National MS Society(NMSS), she founded the production and distribution company Mobility Limited and wrote and produced the video "Yoga for MS." She has been part of a national committee sponsored by the NMSS to help create standards and design workshops for teaching other yoga teachers how to work with MS students.

Shoosh also wrote and produced "Yoga for Arthritis" in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation in 1997 and made the Spanish version in 1998. Shoosh has given workshops and made presentations on yoga and arthritis at international rheumatology conferences. Her book for Rodmell Press, called "Yoga for Fibromyalgia: Move, Breathe and Relax to Improve Your Quality of Life" was published in 2008.

She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit organization Enhancement, Inc., that works to improve the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. As director, she runs retreats, educational seminars and workshops related to breast cancer, and she is presently working on her next book: "Yoga for Breast Cancer Survivors."

Shoosh spent four years traveling throughout the US, Europe and Asia, where she was introduced to yoga in the 1970's. She began her yoga training in India and continued with Sivananda Yoga teachers in Los Angeles. She has a background in Iyengar-style yoga and has studied with Joel Kramer, Ganga White, Tracey Rich, and many others. Shoosh loves to teach and has taught yoga at universities, yoga centers, health clubs, and privately throughout the country. She lives in Morro Bay, California, with her husband, Colby.
